I was born and raised in central Arkansas. I went to high school at Bryant and graduated with a degree in Art Education from OBU. I have taught in Little Rock, Iowa, Maryland & Virginia. I currently reside in San Diego, CA with my husband and daughter.

In 2008, I was bit by a tick while visiting my parents property in Perry County, Ar. I was misdiagnosed until May of 2015. 
It was a surreal & horrific experience that fuels my passion of Lyme Disease awareness. 
Upon learning that Arkansas has a history of 1 positive case of Lyme in the past 11 years, I knew it was time to use my voice.
